These are some of the values that you can expect me to bring to our work together.
With a masters (MA) in depth counseling psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, I offer depth psychotherapy, psychedelic integration, and coaching for people looking to find greater meaning, purpose, and guidance in their life. You can read more about my approach to psychotherapy here.
I didn’t know I wanted to be a therapist. It took time to get here. I spent years learning about myself and the wider world.
Whether spending time with indigenous communities in Australia and Peru, guiding students on educational adventures abroad, or living on my own in the developing world, much of my life has been a journey of self discovery. I am profoundly grateful for these life experiences and how they changed me. That’s why I am passionate about helping others as they navigate theirs. It’s my way of giving back.
I was led to become a psychotherapist while engaged in an immersive study of traditional plant medicine in the Peruvian Amazon. At a young age I was interested in Jungian psychology and spiritual practices. The rich body work of what is now called the “mythopoetic men’s movement” inspired me to deepen my study of archetypes, masculinity, and initiation, which laid the foundation for my graduate studies and approach to psychology.
As a graduate student, I worked with refugees from high-conflict regions around the world adjusting to life in Portland, Oregon. From this experience and from my travels, I am passionate about integrating multicultural competencies and perspectives.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist I worked with National Geographic Student Expeditions and Carpe Diem Education as an experiential educator and guide, leading groups of young adults across 10 countries.
As a professional counselor associate (#R6344), I am supervised by Dr. Robert Stuckey, Jungian Analyst and Clinical Psychologist.
